Oregon Statutes - Chapter 722 - Savings Associations - Section 722.116 - Member’s right to examine books and records; enforcement; attorney fees.

(1) Subject to ORS 722.118 (1), a member with voting rights has the right to examine in person, or by an agent or an attorney, at reasonable times, for any proper purpose, the relevant books and records of the association and to make extracts therefrom. If an association refuses to allow such a member, or the agent or attorney of such a member, to so examine and make extracts from such books and records for a proper purpose, the member may petition any court of competent jurisdiction for an order compelling the production for examination by such member of the relevant books and records. The order may be granted if:

(a) The member is acting in good faith and for a proper purpose in making the demand; and

(b) The confidentiality of the accounts and records pertaining to savings accounts and personal information in loan records of other persons is preserved during such production and examination.

(2) The court may award reasonable attorney fees to the prevailing party in an action under this section. [1975 c.582 §64; 1981 c.897 §101; 1995 c.618 §125]
