Oregon Statutes - Chapter 801 - General Provisions and Definitions for Oregon Vehicle Code - Section 801.557 - “Traffic violation.”

“Traffic violation” means a traffic offense that is designated as a traffic violation in the statute defining the offense, or any other offense defined in the Oregon Vehicle Code that is punishable by a fine but that is not punishable by a term of imprisonment. Penalties for traffic violations are as provided for violations generally in ORS 153.018. [Formerly 801.550]
