Oregon Statutes - Chapter 803 - Vehicle Title and Registration - Section 803.117 - Effect of notice of transfer on civil and criminal liability.

A transferor who has made a bona fide transfer of a vehicle and has delivered possession of it to a transferee shall not, by reason of any of the provisions of the Oregon Vehicle Code, be subject to civil liability or criminal liability for the parking, abandoning or operation of the vehicle by another person when the transferor has:

(1) Notified the Department of Transportation of the transfer; and
