Petitioners and Their Introduction to Resource Reclamation Associates Petitioners resided in New York, New York, at the time their petition was filed. Hereafter, reference to petitioner denotes Ira S. Greene. Petitioner graduated from Syracuse University in 1968 with a B.A. degree in political science. Three years later he earned a law degree from the New York University (NYU) Law School. Petitioner specializes in bankruptcy law. The bulk of his practice prior to the time he invested in Resource involved the liquidation of assets of individuals and small businesses under chapter 7 of the Bankruptcy Code. Petitioner's wife Robin graduated from the Temple University Law School and specialized in general litigation prior to the time of the investment in Resource. She was a fourth- or fifth-year associate in the law firm of White & Case in New York City in 1981. In 1981 petitioner earned in excess of $100,000 for the first time in his career.
