The purchase price of the lot was approximately $72,000. The entire purchase price was financed by Kadyszewski. Automobiles In March 1982, petitioner purchased a 1982 Cadillac Eldorado for $28,250. In January 1984, petitioner and Emmens purchased a 1984 Chevrolet Cavalier for $16,095 as a birthday present for petitioner's daughter. As part of the $5,000 down payment for this vehicle, petitioner wrote a check for $4,000. In addition, Palm Beach Property Investments held title to another Cadillac that petitioner and Emmens utilized. Boats and Airplanes Emmens and Kadyszewski owned various boats and airplanes which were used in the narcotics smuggling operation.
