Texas Government Code § 3102.003 Awards Committee: Membership; Terms; Presiding Officer; Reimbursement

Sec. 3102.003. AWARDS COMMITTEE: MEMBERSHIP; TERMS; PRESIDING OFFICER; REIMBURSEMENT. (a) The committee consists of five members appointed by the governor with the advice and consent of the senate.

(b) Committee members serve staggered six-year terms with the terms of one or two members expiring each odd-numbered year.

(c) The committee shall select one of its members to act as presiding officer of the committee for a term of one year, or until a successor is selected and has qualified.

(d) Members of the committee serve without pay but are entitled to reimbursement for actual and necessary expenses incurred in the performance of their duties.
