Texas Occupations Code § 1602.305 Specialty Shop License

Sec. 1602.305. SPECIALTY SHOP LICENSE. (a) A person holding a specialty shop license may maintain an establishment in which only the practice of cosmetology as defined in Section 1602.002(a)(3), (6), (8), (9), or (11) is performed.

(b) An application for a specialty shop license must be accompanied by the required inspection fee and:

(1) be on a form prescribed by the department;

(2) contain proof of the particular requisites for a specialty shop as established by the commission; and

(3) be verified by the applicant.

(c) The applicant is entitled to a specialty shop license if:

(1) the application complies with commission rules;

(2) the applicant pays the required license fee; and

(3) the applicant has not committed an act that constitutes a ground for denial of a license.
