Sec. 401.503. CRIMINAL OFFENSE. (a) A person commits an offense if the person violates this chapter.
(b) An offense under this section is a misdemeanor punishable by:
(1) confinement in the county jail for a period not to exceed six months;
(2) a fine not to exceed $1,000; or
(3) both the confinement and the fine.
