Texas Special District Local Laws Code § 1023.054 Board Vacancy

Sec. 1023.054. BOARD VACANCY. (a) A vacancy in the office of director shall be filled for the unexpired term at the next regular election.

(b) If at least five director positions become vacant, the remaining directors may call a special election to fill the vacancies for the unexpired terms.
