Texas Special District Local Laws Code § 3814.158 Elections Regarding Taxes Or Bonds

Sec. 3814.158. ELECTIONS REGARDING TAXES OR BONDS. (a) The district must hold an election in the manner provided by Subchapter L, Chapter 375, Local Government Code, to obtain voter approval before the district may:

(1) impose a maintenance tax; or

(2) issue a bond payable from ad valorem taxes.

(b) The board may include more than one purpose in a single proposition at an election.

(c) Section 375.243, Local Government Code, does not apply to the district.
