§ 3.2-206. (Effective October 1, 2008) Certain agencies to prepare plans for implementation of policy...
The Department of Transportation, Department of Health, Department of Conservation and Recreation, State Corporation Commission, and Department of Environmental Quality shall each prepare a plan for the implementation of the policies set forth in this chapter. The plan shall contain an analysis of the impact that the agency's regulations and projects have on the conversion of farm and forest lands. The plan shall be updated and submitted to the Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry and the Secretary of Natural Resources annually. The Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry shall review the plan in consultation with the Commissioner and the State Forester, and may recommend improvements to the plan. The Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry shall submit a written report by December 1 of each year to the chairmen of the House Committee on Agriculture, Chesapeake and Natural Resources and the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Conservation and Natural Resources on the impacts of state agency actions on the conversion of farm and forest lands.
