§ 6.1-32.13. Certificate required
No person or legal entity shall engage in the trust business without first obtaining a certificate of authority from the Commission; however, a bank or savings and loan authorized under state or federal laws to engage in the trust business or a trust subsidiary as defined in the Trust Subsidiary Act (§ 6.1-32.1 et seq.) of this title may engage in such business to the extent permitted by law without obtaining a certificate under this article.
