§ 22.1-282. Appointment and compensation of persons taking census
The census shall be taken by agents appointed by each school board on the recommendation of the division superintendent. Each such agent shall receive as compensation for his services, to be paid out of the school board's funds, an amount to be fixed by the school board appointing him. In the discretion of the school board, a reasonable travel allowance may be allowed such agents.
