§ 54.1-2924. Psychiatric Advisory Board
The Psychiatric Advisory Board shall be composed of licensed practitioners appointed by the Board of Medicine and shall examine persons licensed or seeking licensure under this chapter and advise the Board of Medicine concerning the mental or emotional condition of such person when such condition is in issue before the Board of Medicine. The recommendations of the Psychiatric Advisory Board shall not be binding upon the Board of Medicine. Practitioners shall have immunity from civil liability resulting from any communication, finding, opinion or conclusion made in the course of their duties as members of the Psychiatric Advisory Board unless they acted in bad faith or with malicious intent.
