                    This is a decision on the appeal under 35 U.S.C. § 134 from the examiner's rejection of                                                                
                    claims 1-4, 6-13 and 15-18, which constitute all the claims remaining in the application.                                                              
                    The disclosed invention pertains to a method and apparatus for two-dimensionally scrolling                                                             
                    data in the client area of a window on the user interface of a data processing system.                                                                 
                    Conventionally in a data processing system, scrolling of data within a window is performed by
