Appeal No. 96-1603 Application 08/057,989 regard to how the slides absorb force, we are of the opinion that the specification in explaining that the slides absorb the leftward and rightward deviation of the block is sufficiently complete to enable a person of ordinary skill in this art to make this invention. In view of the foregoing we will sustain the examiner’s rejection under 35 U.S.C. § 112, first paragraph as it is directed to claim 13 but will not sustain the rejection as it directed to claims 15-20. We turn next to the examiner’s rejection under 35 U.S.C. § 102(b) of claims 1, 11 and 15-18 as anticipated by Kato. Kato discloses a feed screw 12 mounted on base 11 and a motor 13 for rotating the feed screw about its axis. There is also disclosed a feed nut and a frame or block 15 mounted integrally to the nut. There is a table 2 mounted for movement along an axial direction of the feed screw. There is a slide mechanism 16, 17 disposed between the block 15 and the table 2. The slide mechanism is slidable in a vertical direction along a plane transverse to the axial direction of the feed screw.
