be substituted for the field-effect transistor 15 disclosed in
Iwata's Figure 3:
Appellants contend, however, that the proposed combination
would not supply the following claimed element:
control means for applying the
enabling voltage to a gate of the
insulated gate bipolar transistor and
for removing the enabling voltage at
the gate in response to a flash
terminating command.
We must, therefore, determine the scope and meaning of this
limitation in the context of the claim as a whole.
