Appeal No. 97-0056 Page 3 Application No. 07/791,156 BACKGROUND The appellants' invention relates to a cellular window covering comprising a plurality of cells formed of textile material secured together by spaced lines of adhesive. The textile material is treated with an anti-fray composition on discrete first portions thereof and is treated with an adhesive in second discrete portions thereof. An understanding of the invention can be derived from a reading of claims 57 through 60, which appear in the appendix to the appellants' brief. The prior art reference of record relied upon by the examiner in rejecting the appealed claims is: Duval 4,698,276 Oct. 6, 1987 Claims 57 through 60 stand rejected under 35 U.S.C. § 103 as being unpatentable over Duval. The complete text of the examiner's rejections and response to the argument presented by the appellants appears in the answer (Paper No. 28, mailed March 5, 1996), while the complete statement of the appellants' argument can be found in the brief (Paper No. 27, filed November 6, 1995).
