Giving the claim its broadest reasonable interpretation, we find that the prior art would have suggested the data structure. A data structure is merely “[a]n organizational scheme, such as a record or an array, applied to data so that it can be interpreted and so that specific operations can be performed upon that data.” Microsoft Press Computer Dictionary: The Comprehensive Standard for Business, School, Library, and Home 110 (2d ed. 1994). Ishii discloses a control system for an automotive vehicle. Col. 1, ll. 8-9. As recognized by the appellants, (Appeal Br. at 9), the system can be used to control the vehicle’s engine.
