Appeal No. 2000-0323 Page 3 Application No. 08/608,920 BACKGROUND The appellant's invention relates generally to an introducer system for a lead or catheter employing a dilator and introducer sheath assembly for dilating a body vessel in preparation of introducing the lead or catheter through the lumen of the introducer sheath that provides for the injection of radiopaque contrast media to observe the cause of an impediment to advancement of the assembly into the vessel lumen (specification, p. 1). A copy of the claims under appeal is set forth in the appendix to the appellant's brief.
