Appeal No. 1997-1738 Application No. 08/255,040 BACKGROUND The appellants’ invention relates to an apparatus for separating and quantifying classes of hydrocarbons in a sample. A copy of the claims under appeal is set forth in the appendix to the appellants’ brief. Claim 11 stands rejected under 35 U.S.C. § 102(b) as being anticipated by Saxena, or, alternatively, under 35 U.S.C. § 103 as being unpatentable over Saxena.
