Making the substitution suggested by the Examiner
would defeat the express purpose of Kano et al by
jeopardizing the moisture resistance therein.

We likewise agree with the appellants (Reply Brief, page 2)
that Kano discloses the use of polytetrafluoroethylene,
whereas
Takasu “begins with an oligomer having a perfluoroalkyl group
in combination with a film-forming resin such as
polytetrafluoroethylene [emphasis original].”
In summary, the rejection is reversed because the
examiner has not presented a prima facie case of obviousness.
DECISION
The decision of the examiner rejecting claims 2 and 4
through 10 under 35 U.S.C. § 103 is reversed.
REVERSED
