Another capability of the zoom operation is shown in figure 2, where Waller discloses viewports 12 and 12A for displaying an enlarged view 12A, of a portion of an image along with the original image 12. Waller discloses (col. 3, lines 39-43, See also col.7, lines 7, line 61 through col. 8, line 31) that "[t]he present invention is capable of displaying up to 64 viewports, simultaneously, on the CRT screen of the graphics display terminal. For simplicity purposes, only two viewports are shown in FIG. 2."
