According to Amy Veenhuizen, the compounds said to have been synthesized by Dr. Chamberlain, were sent to her by Dr. Chamberlain for testing using the Searle one-day air pouch assay. 47. Veenhuizen testified that the air pouch assay is an in vivo assay for testing compounds for anti-inflammatory activity predictive of practical therapeutic utility (Exh. 2044 at ¶2). 48.
