Independent claim 2 is directed to a device for slowing down signatures comprising, an arcuate tape system, a first conveyor belt downstream of the tape system operating at a first conveyor speed, and a second conveyor belt downstream of the first conveyor belt operating at a second conveyor speed less than the first conveyor speed.
