BACKGROUND The invention at issue on appeal concerns thermal management of a semiconductor device operating in a pulsed power mode, which the appellants also term a "time sharing mode or a pulse mode." (Spec. at 3.) In such a mode, a digital communication device having data to transmit will turn on, broadcast the data, and then turn off.
