Appeal No. 2001-2542 Application No. 09/000,760 The disclosed invention pertains to a method and apparatus for presenting dynamic content to a user of a client device. More particularly, a dynamic executable module is installed on the client device. The module is configured to retrieve dynamic content and to present the content to the user at a time selected in accordance with a predetermined condition. Representative claim 1 is reproduced as follows: 1. A method for presenting dynamic content to a user of a client device, said method comprising the steps of: installing a dynamic executable module on a client device, wherein the dynamic executable module is configured to retrieve dynamic content to be presented to a user and control presentation of the dynamic content; and presenting the dynamic content at a time selected in accordance with a predetermined condition.
