Appeal No. 2002-1191 Application No. 09/101,175 BACKGROUND According to Appellants, the invention relates to an electrochemical sensor and a method of production of an electrochemical sensor. The electrochemical sensor measures the gas concentration, such as oxygen, of a sample gas. The invention is said to have the advantage of preventing liquid and solid components contained in the sample gas from penetrating the interior sensor. (Brief, p. 3). Claim 44, which is representative of the claimed invention, appears below: 44.
