Appeal No. 2003-1401 Application No. 08/814,401 patent lacks an external segment of the wire relative to the connector and a treatment catheter to be engaged therewith. The Wettermann patent discloses a cholanagiogram catheter (Fig. 1) including an inner catheter 18 (Fig. 4) with a luer syringe connector 20 attached to its proximal end. With the syringe connector 20 being outboard of inner catheter 18, the Wettermann reference lacks an external segment relative to the connector and a treatment catheter to be engaged therewith. The Narula patent teaches a catheter construction (Fig. 1) designed for use with intracardiac monitoring systems or the delivery of electrical or thermal energy to an internal location (Fig. 4). What appears to be some form of connector (Fig. 1) is at one end of the catheter. Thus, with a connector being outboard of the extent of the catheter, the Narula document lacks an external segment relative to the connector and a treatment catheter to be engaged therewith. Obviousness We do not sustain the obviousness rejections on appeal. 6Page: Previous 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 NextLast modified: November 3, 2007
