In response to selection of a different location, Williams' content window substitutes the content of the newly selected location for the previously selected one. For example, Figure 1b of the reference shows the content of "| Segment 1" in response to its selection. The non-selected locations, which now include " IP Internet," are shown only as minimized representations in the scoping window 16. Fig. 1b. In summary, Williams teaches displaying the content of only a selected location while automatically reducing non-selected locations to minimized representations. As aforementioned, Green teaches that a user can manually minimize undesired windows to interact with an active window. The reference also recognizes a problem with such an arrangement.
