This is a decision on appeal under 35 U.S.C. § 134
from the examiner’s final rejection of claims 1-43.
Claims 1, 10, 18, 27 and 35 are representative of the
subject matter on appeal and are set forth below:
1. An improved method of producing
aluminum in an electrolytic cell containing
alumina dissolved in an electrolyte, the
method comprising the steps of:
(a) providing a molten salt
electrolytic at a temperature less than
900ēC having alumina dissolved therein in an
