Appeal No. 2004-0975 Application No. 09/793,595 displays whatever is being displayed on the host 101 when a connection is made.” This latter portion is a part of the discussion beginning at column 54, line 7 relating to the remote occlusion region on the host 101 display. Even though this remote occlusion region is taught at the beginning at this region of the reference through the end of the patent that a remote occlusion region is established in the display of the host computer 101, still the teaching is that whatever is displayed there is displayed or mirrored on the display of the remote interface device 100. Even if we assume for the sake of argument, which is implicit in the arguments presented by appellant in the brief and reply brief, that both references are properly combinable within 35 U.S.C. § 103, we do not agree with the examiner’s assertion that Jacob does teach the feature of transferring selected data blocks from a display monitor on a computer to a portable information device in such a manner as to meet the feature at the end of each of the independent claims on appeal of providing an element for performing a step of sending less than all of the display output from the first computer over a wireless communication link to a portable computer or a corresponding feature. -4-Page: Previous 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 NextLast modified: November 3, 2007
