                                                 DECISION ON APPEAL                                                      
                     This is an appeal from the final rejection of claims 1 through 26.                                  
                     The disclosed invention relates to a method and apparatus for assessing a                           
              cancerous tissue in a patient by identifying at least one biomarker of the cancerous tissue                
              in at least one three-dimensional image of a region of interest of the patient, deriving at                
              least one quantitative measurement of the at least one biomarker and storing the results.
