PATE, Administrative Patent Judge. DECISION ON APPEAL This is an appeal from the final rejection of claims 4-11, 13 and 14 in a merged re- examination of U.S. Patent No. 5,865,251. The patentability of claims 1-3 and 12 have been confirmed. These are the only claims in the merged reexamination. The claimed subject matter is directed to a gravel pack and isolation assembly, wherein an isolation valve comprising a movable sleeve is positioned to the interior of an oil well production screen. After the production zone of the oil well has been gravel packed, the isolation valve is moved to a position permitting fluid passages between the exterior of the screen assembly and the interior of the production tubing.
