DECISION ON APPEAL
This is a decision on the appeal under 35 U.S.C. § 134
from the examiner’s rejection of claims 1, 2 and 4-14. Pending
claims 26-32 and 35-39 have been withdrawn from consideration.
The disclosed invention pertains to a method for reducing
random single bit data loss in a FLASH memory circuit having a
programming operation and an erase operation. A particular
feature of the invention is that a semiconductor layer is heated
in an atmosphere comprising a hydrogen isotope which incorporates
