DECISION ON APPEAL
This is a decision on the appeal from the final rejection of claims 1-9,
which are all of the claims pending in this application.
The claimed invention relates to a method and system for establishing
communication between a controlling device and a controlled device which are
interconnected via a data bus which complies with a predetermined
communication format permitting data exchange between the devices. After
transmission of a command from the controlling device to the controlled device
during a communication transaction, a determination is made as to whether a
