DECISION ON APPEAL
This appeal involves claims to an electrically conductive silicone composition,
which the examiner has rejected as obvious. We have jurisdiction under 35 U.S.C.
§ 134. We affirm.
Background
“Silicone adhesives are useful in a variety of applications by virtue of their unique
combination of properties.” Specification, page 1. The specification discloses “a
curable silicone composition for preparing a silicone adhesive and more particularly . . .
a condensation-curable silicone composition containing an electrically conductive filler
and a hydroxy-functional organic compound.” Id. The silicone composition is said to
