BACKGROUND The invention at issue on appeal displays medical images. Computed tomography ("CT") and magnetic resonance tomography ("MR") are used to generate and visualize three-dimensional ("3D") medical data. The "clip plane" in such a 3D visualization can be rotated or displaced; an object being visualized can be rotated or zoomed inside a volume such as a human body.
