This is an appeal from the final rejection of claims 74-122. Claims 1-
26 have been withdrawn from consideration. Claim 74 is illustrative:
74. A method of monitoring a state of at least one of a felt and a
screen serving for a dewatering of a fiber web, comprising the steps of:
determining one of permanently and cyclically at intervals at least one
property of the at least one of a felt and a screen thereby providing a first
property development over time;
