DECISION ON APPEAL
This is a decision on the appeal under 35 U.S.C. § 134 from the
examiner’s rejection of claims 1-8, 10-25, and 27-35, which constitute all the
claims pending in this application.
The disclosed invention pertains to securely communicating with a
network-connected printer. Specifically, documents that are encrypted with a
public key are received and spooled into a printer memory. A user’s private key
corresponding to the public key is accepted and utilized to decrypt the
