                      Claims 42 and 43 illustrate Appellants’ invention of a polymerization
                catalyst component, and is representative of the claims on appeal:1
                      42. A polymerization catalyst component, comprising:
                      (a) a first active polymerization catalyst which is a Fe or Co complex
                of a ligand of the formula:

                            wherein:
                            R1, R2 and R3 are each independently hydrogen, hydrocarbyl,
                      substituted hydrocarbyl, or an inert functional group;
                            R4 and R5 are each independently hydrogen, hydrocarbyl, an
                      inert functional group or substituted hydrocarbyl; and
                            R6 and R7 are aryl or substituted aryl;
                      (b) a second active polymerization catalyst which contains one or
                more transition metals; and
                      (c)  a catalyst support.
                      43. The polymerization catalyst component as recited in claim 42
                wherein one of said first polymerization catalyst and said second
                polymerization catalyst produces an oligomer of the formula R60CH=CH2
                from ethylene, wherein R60 is n-alkyl.

                1 We copy claim 42 as it stands of record in the Amendment filed July 7,
                2003, in view of the errors in the presence of the recitation “for said olefins”
                appearing in the first line of each of clauses (a) and (b) in the copy of claim
                42 appearing in the Claim Appendix of the Brief (Br. 10).
