The Appellants argue that "there is no such clear description that the user profile supplies information to the server applications 260 to enable access to those servers by the client applications." CLAIM CONSTRUCTION Claim 1 further recites in pertinent part the following limitations: "an automatic log-in unit automatically making the user whose certification has been successfully performed by said certifying unit log-in to said application server based on the data stored in the certification data storing unit." Giving the representative claim the broadest, reasonable construction, the limitations require using the stored data to log the user into the application. Contrary to the Appellants' argument, the claim does not require forwarding the data to the server of the application. B. ANTICIPATION ANALYSIS As mentioned regarding the prior issue, a user of Navarre submits a user-id and password to the gateway 220. The gateway compares the submission against stored sets of user-ids and passwords to determine whether the user is authorized to access one or more services of the application services offered by servers 230, 240, and 250. "Once authentication is complete, the user profile is used to create a menu of the services accessible by the client for that session." (Col. 4, ll. 53-55.)
