Searle and Nissei address closely related problems in the same equipment. Unsurprisingly they employ similar variables. Their goals and methods differ, however. CONCLUSION Searle does not anticipate all of the limitations of claim 1. The missing elements are also present in independent claim 2 and in claims 3-6, which all depend from either claim 1 or claim 2.
