DECISION ON APPEAL
This is an appeal under 35 U.S.C. § 134 involving claims to a
composition containing a polypeptide variant. The Examiner has rejected
the claims as anticipated. We have jurisdiction under 35 U.S.C. § 6(b). We
reverse.
BACKGROUND
The “‘Fc region’ refers to a C-terminal region of an immunoglobulin
heavy chain” (Specification 36). “The Fc region . . . generally comprises
