The putter type golf club of claim 11 wherein said handle extends at least half of the overall length of the golf club from said club head to said upper end of said shaft. 14. The putter type golf club of claim 11 wherein the first alignment line is longer than the second alignment line. 15. The putter type golf club of claim 11 wherein the first alignment line and second alignment line intersect to form a cross.
