Nevada Revised Statutes Section 171.142 - Procedure in Criminal Cases

Breaking open door or window: Upon detention after making arrest. Any person who has entered a house, structure or other place of concealment to make an arrest may break open a door or window if that is necessary for him to liberate himself. An officer may do the same to liberate a person who, acting in his aid, entered to make an arrest and is detained inside.
