Oregon Statutes - Chapter 165 - Offenses Involving Fraud or Deception - Section 165.475 - Sending telegrams in order of receipt.

(1) Except as provided in ORS 165.480 and in subsection (2) of this section, any telegraph company doing business in this state who fails to transmit all dispatches in the order in which they are received, is subject to a penalty of $100, to be recovered with costs of suit by the person whose dispatch is postponed out of its order.

(2) Communications from other telegraphic lines in connection with lines in this state may have precedence over all ordinary private communications and intelligence of general and public interest may be transmitted for publication out of its order. [Formerly 757.606]
