Oregon Statutes - Chapter 329 - Oregon Educational Act for the 21st Century; Educational Improvement and Reform - Section 329.745 - Dedication of available funds for professional development centers.

To administer ORS 329.675 to 329.745, the Department of Education shall dedicate a portion of its funds, not to exceed 10 percent of the total appropriated for the purposes of ORS 329.675 to 329.745 to provide for the establishment of professional development centers to:

(1) Assist school districts, teachers, 21st Century Schools Council members and others to formulate goals and indexes of teaching and learning conditions;

(2) Provide additional professional growth and career opportunities for teachers; and

(3) Carry out other purposes of ORS 329.675 to 329.745.
