The State Board of Higher Education may allow interchange of members of the faculties of institutions of higher learning with faculty members of comparable institutions of other states or countries for a period of one year. Such exchange service shall, for all purposes, be deemed continued service with the Oregon institution covered, with salary paid to the absent faculty member accordingly. Salary for the visiting faculty member shall not be paid by the Oregon institution covered. [1957 c.239 §1]
