Violation of any of the provisions of this chapter is an unclassified misdemeanor and is punishable, upon the first conviction, by a fine of not more than $1,000, or by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than one year, or both, and upon a second or additional conviction, by a fine of not more than $2,000, or by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than one year, or both.
